ANIKO BALLET is the first and only professional Ukrainian troupe of contemporary choreography and was established in 1997.
ANIKO BALLET is а private company and is not subsidized by the government. It runs on the sole support earned from concert activities.

The company lead by Artistic Director and choreographer, Honored Artist of Ukraine Aniko Rekhviashvili. As a creative personality, Aniko joins in 1995 together independent dancers in a group to the realization of her creative intentions.

Aniko`s choreography is deeply charged with beauty and deep emotions, higher dance skill and energy of self-expression, full-active harmony with music, intense drama in the choreography.


The company bursts impetuously in the cultural life of Ukraine. From its beginning the company's solo performances have always experienced great national success. Regardless of the place, after the company's first show, ANIKO BALLET becomes a desirable guest for any future performances.

The company owes its continuation primarily to its commercial success in Ukraine. Thanks to the composition of Aniko Rekhviashvili's choreographу and the higher dance skill of the dancers, the company became leaders in Ukraine.

In 1997 and 1999 the company wins the National "Fortune Wheel" award, nominated "For their contribution in the development of contemporary Ukrainian choreograph art".
In 1998 the company wins a Grant from the "Philip Morris fund".
As a young company ANIKO BALLET has made appearances in Russia, Byelorussia, Georgia, Canada, Great Britain, Estoniya.
